Asher had downed the rest of his whiskey while he waited for Elijah's to set in, relieved he wasn't going to have to stab the man in the neck with a syringe. Some things it was hard to bounce a friendship back from.
"Sit down, Elijah," Asher said, moving to pull the other man back to lay down on the couch so he wouldn't fall and hurt himself. Asher would have felt terrible of Elijah cracked his skull open on the coffee table.
Both for the loss that would face Elijah's son, and just sincerely missing the man.

Ideally you'll have a peaceful little nap for a couple hours, worse case scenario you doze off and are barely conscious but still can't get in the way.
